Game Of Thrones & The Emmy Awards

Continued Emmy Success

HBO Series, Game Of Thrones has enjoyed more success at this years Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.

In addition to Outstanding Drama Series, it also took home awards for best Directing (David Nutter), Writing (David Benioff and D.B Weiss), and Best Supporting Actor (Peter Dinklage).

These awards come after last weeks success at the Creative Arts Emmys, where the series - edited at Yellowmoon - nabbed 8 of the awards. These included Katie Weiland receiving the award for 'Outstanding single-camera picture editing for a drama series'. Other wins were for 'Outstanding sound editing for a series', 'Outstanding production design for a nativity contemporary of fantasy programme', and 'Outstanding sound mixing for a drama series'.

The 12 Emmys won overall by the series this year broke a major record by surpassing The West Wing to take home more TV Academy Awards in a single year than any other show.

Filming, and editing, is currently underway for the 6th season of Game Of Thrones.
